Taka tracks Killer Bee to the Valley of Clouds and Lightning soon after he finishes training with his tailed beast. When Suigetsu attacked him, he easily overpowered him, and uses Suigetsu’s sword to defeat Jūgo afterwards. Later when Sasuke Uchiha confronts him, he shows an unorthodox sword style where he manages to hold all seven of his swords in a rather awkward pose; this is deceiving as his seven sword style is extremely formidable and he even mortally wounds Sasuke as he was unable to track the swords even with his Sharingan. This would in fact have been a fatal hit, but Killer Bee mentions that Sasuke had channelled lightning-nature chakra through his body to avoid a fatal hit.  As he moves in to finish Sasuke, Suigetsu comes to save him while Jūgo attacks from behind. Even while the three fighting him at once Killer Bee appears unfazed by their attacks and quickly moves away from their location. Finally getting annoyed with Taka, Killer Bee announces he will unveil the “Eighth” (八本目, Happonme). Killer Bee formed his own demon chakra shield and proceeded to attack Taka. Sasuke then placed him in a genjutsu but Killer Bee was able to break it with assistance from the Eight-Tails. Killer Bee then struck Sasuke while his guard was down. In the end, he blasted a hole in Sasuke’s chest and neck taking the surrounding organs along with it; claiming that a jinchūriki that has full control of his beast can become immune to genjutsu. He then completely released the full power of the Eight-Tails, ordering the team to cower in fear of him.  Sasuke then hit the Eight-Tails with Amaterasu. As one of its tails was about to fall on Karin, Sasuke cut it with Chidori Sharp Spear. Killer Bee disguised himself as the cut part of the tail and escaped. The Eight-Tails transformed into an unconscious form of Killer Bee. With his defeat, Sasuke carries him away. When his brother, A, learns of his capture, he makes plans to deal with Sasuke and the Akatsuki. When the Akatsuki later tries to extract the Eight-Tails from Killer Bee’s body, they find that it is only one of the beast’s tentacles disguised as Killer Bee. He had made the appearance that he was captured to escape his village, where he had grown bored of being a guardian. Since his village now believes him to be captured, he uses this as an opportunity to take a “vacation” from being a guardian. As Eight-Tails comments that a new era is coming, Killer Bee thinks he means about his new music career.

Killer Bee is shown to be near a far off mountain practicing his music career with his seemingly new music teacher, Master Sabu, who thinks Killer Bee lacks passion in his singing. Later, Killer Bee is approached by Kisame Hoshigaki saying his Samehada tracked his powerful chakra scent. Killer Bee says he’ll make quick work of Kisame. Though much to Killer Bee’s shock, all of his lightning techniques fail against Kisame as Samehada continues to eat all the chakra that gets close enough, even his demon chakra. Eventually, Kisame has Samehada unleash its true form.Later as the battle progresses, Killer Bee uses the Eight-Tail’s chakra to transform into a eight-tailed version of the Eight-Tails, similar to a Naruto’s six-tailed form along with the skeleton of an ox. Killer Bee then uses the Lariat technique on Kisame severely injuring him to the point of exposing Kisame’s ribcage, while Samehada absorbs the Eight-Tails’ chakra. Kisame then uses Samehada to heal himself and combines with Samehada transforming himself into a monstrous shark-like form. Bee continues to fight Kisame and eventually gets a head on attack from Kisame in which he partially transforms one of his tails into a Octopus tail and wraps Kisame in it.

When Kisame tried to slice off Killer Bee’s legs after he was rendered unconscious, Samehada dug itself into the ground to prevent that from happening. It also attacked Kisame to protect Killer Bee as it has grown fond of his octopus chakra. Killer Bee then regained conciousness after obtaining some chakra from Samehada, but still appears to be in a weakened state. Kisame kicks Samehada aside and prepares to sever Bee’s legs with one of his own swords. After another failed attempt to kill Kisame with the pencil he threw at him earlier, Killer Bee is saved by his brother, the Raikage, C and Darui. Killer Bee and his brother then finish off “Kisame” by performing a Double Lariat to decapitate him. After that, Bee got reprimanded by A for running away from the village.

On their way back to Konoha Danzō and his men were confronted by Madara Uchiha. Danzō instructed Fū and Torune to distract Madara while he unsealed his right arm. Once he was ready, Madara released Sasuke Uchiha and Karin. Danzō, revealing his right arm to show that it was embedded with Sharingans, voiced his intent to add Madara’s and Sasuke’s to his collection. Sasuke immediately questioned him about the Uchiha clan’s assassination, hoping to find out if the Konoha elders really did force Itachi to murder their family. Danzō confirmed the story and questioned why Itachi would sacrifice peace to tell Sasuke the truth. Angry that Danzō used his brother’s name, Sasuke crushed him with Susanoo.  Despite his apparent death, Danzō was unharmed by Susanoo, as well as Sasuke’s subsequent attacks. All the while Danzō goaded Sasuke by constantly talking about Itachi, prompting him to fully develop his Susanoo. Sasuke used Susanoo to fire an arrow at Danzō, who was forced to use his Wood Release to divert the attack.

Madara, having been observing the battle, surmised that his use of Sharingan and Wood Release must mean that he planned to control the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox. He also identified Danzō’s constant escapes from death as the result of Izanagi, which allows him to warp reality, thus avoiding death, and guaranteeing the effectiveness of his attacks. To use the technique, however, he must have at least one active Sharingan, and as the battle continued more and more Sharingan were lost from the technique. When he was finally reduced to one, Danzō and Sasuke clashed for a final fight, with both warriors being impaled with chakra nature blades.

Danzō believed that he had won and told Sasuke to go and join Itachi. He then realized that he has also been injured; his one remaining Sharingan only existed in Sasuke’s genjutsu as Sasuke noticed that Danzō had to look at the Sharingans on his arm to keep track of how many were left. His depleted chakra levels, coupled with his new injury, caused him to lose control of the First Hokage’s DNA, which allowed him to use Wood Release, and he was forced to sever his arm before the DNA engulfed his body and turned him into a giant tree. Unwilling to give up, he took Karin as a hostage and prepared to use Shisui’s eye. Sasuke extended a Chidori Sharp Spear through Karin ruthlessly in order to stab Danzō through the heart.

Dying, Danzō staggered towards Sasuke and Madara, thinking about Hiruzen and how, no matter what he did, he could never match him, not even having properly become Hokage. With his last breath for the sake of the world, he tried to take Sasuke and Madara with him to the grave by activating the Reverse Four Symbols Sealing Technique, but the plan failed due to Sasuke retreating out-of range and Madara teleporting to avoid the technique. However, even in his last few seconds, Danzō worked towards helping Konoha: in a final act of defiance against Madara, he destroyed Shisui’s Sharingan eye to prevent Madara from using it.

Summary : Demon Brothers vs. Kakashi team

After gaining their rights to be taught under Kakashi, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura escort their client, Tazuna, when the Demon Brothers materialize out of the puddles they stepped on. They quickly approach Kakashi and chop him to bits. Naruto and Sakura are immediately mortified at the sight of their teacher’s death. Sasuke, however, ever-vigilant and ready to fight, managed to hold both brothers to a tree by throwing a kunai into their conjoined chain, effectively leashing them. From there, it was just a matter of hopping onto their claws and kicking both in the back of the head. The brothers, now infuriated, release their tethers, split up, and advance on Naruto and Tazuna, respectively. As they draw closer towards the frightened duo, Kakashi appears out of nowhere and knocks both unconscious, apparently having performed Kawarimi no Jutsu beforehand.

Summary : Shikamaru vs Temari

This fight is interesting to say the least. It serves more as a way of describing Shikamaru but it’s still a great fight. The fight begins with Shikamaru lying on the ground (he was pushed from the balcony to the arena by Naruto) with garbage (thrown by the spectators) all over him. Temari gets pissed and says “If you’re not going to attack, I will!” She sprints over towards Shikamaru all determined while Shikamaru just pulls out two shiruken and says to himself “she seems excited over this…” Temari slams her closed fan onto the ground which creates a huge dust cloud. She looks at the rubble when the dust clears, and Shikamaru is standinng on the wall! He used the two shirukens to hold himself up at the last minute. Shikakamaru tells Temari that he doesn’t care if he becomes a Chounin, but a man certainly can’t lose to a woman. So shikamaru decides to fight for real.

Temari gets very pissed at this and waves her fan creating a huge gust towards Shikamaru. When the dust clears, he is gone again! Temari immediately knows that he is hiding in the part of the stadium with the most shadow. Sure enough, Shikamaru is up in one of the trees inn the shady part of the stadium thinking to himself “but a man con’t hit a woman either.” Temari knows about shiko’s shadow jutsus so she decides to keep her distance. Up in the stadium Ino is cheering enough for 20 people while chouji sits next to her with a huge bag full of potato chip bags. Down in the stadium shikomaru is spacing out, staring up into the clouds, “they’re so nice…They’re so free…” Then he thinks to himself that he only became a ninja because he wanted to live an fun life. Temari gets pissed again, thinking that Shikamaru is underestnimating her, and uses her main move, Sickling Winds. A HUGE gust of wind heads towards Shikomaru cutting up the trees around him. From the dust cloud Shikomaru’s shadow stretches out for Temari. She flips back a few times and the shadow falls short by a few inches. Temari marks a line in the ground. She realizes that shikomaru has a limit to the distance, size, and transform his shadow. She uses her marker to tell where she is safe from the attack. Shikamaru just sits back ad starts day dreaming again. He then puts his hands together. Up in the stands, Kurenai wonders what kind of seal shikomaru is performing. Asuma explains to her that it is just a habit of his that he uses to come up with strategies. He then explains that although shikomaru is lazy, he is a tactical genius with in IQ over 200. He goes into talking about how shikomaru makes him play shougi with him (an japanese version of chess which correlates to war games). Down in the stadium shikomaru breaks his stance and pulls out a shuriken. Temari blows another gust of wind towards him. He hides behind a tree and takes off his jacket. Up in the audience Ino is anxious while chouji just says that shikomaru will give up soon. Temari blows another gust at shikomaru and a shuriken comes flying towards her. She dodges, and then blocks the second coming towards her from the left. Shikomaru’s shadow comes for her again but Temari thinks she’s safe since she’s behind the line, but his shadow goes further than before. She realizes that shikomaru was just waiting for the sun to set so he could get better range. Temari thinks she better end it quickly before the sun sets, but then Kankuro yells over to her “watch out!!!” She looks up at the sky really worried as a second shadow forms in front of her. She quickly jumps back as the camera zooms in on a balloon that shikomaru made out of his coat and a shuriken. His shadow continues to follow her over towards the middle of the stadium. Temari continues to dodge until she is between the two holes in the middle fo the stadium (they were made during naruto and neji’s fight) and once again out of range. Temari opens up her fan and worries about her time frame again. She hides beind her open fan and decides to make a replicant in order to catch shikomaru off guard and then finish him off herself. While she is performing the seals, she becomes frozen. Everyone is surprised. Shikomaru thought about a million steps ahead of Temari and purposley lured her between the holes so he could connect his shadow imitation technique to connect his shadow to the hole in front of Temari, and use the tunnel to attach his shadow from behind her. Shikamaru and Temari slowly walk towards each other. Everyone in th audience including the jounins and chounins are impressed with his intellect and tactical abilities. They all definately think he’s chounin material. Shikamaru and Temari each hold up their right hands while up in the audience chouji starts eating like a machine. Temari quivers a bit, that is until shikomaru says “I lose. I give up.” Everyone including (Temari especially) looks surprised to see this strange act. Chouji just laughs and says that no one knows shikomaru better than him. Temari asks shikomaru why he did this for her. He makes up some excuse about not having enough chakra yet, but everyone knows it’s because of his moral code. fight over.

Summary : Temari vs Sasuke

Both of the fighters jump up quickly to start. Sasuke throws some kunai all of which are blocked by Temari’s wind. Temari then uses her Sickling Winds Jutsu. Sasuke dodges as the tree behind him is cut in two. He dodges the rest of the winds and throws some more kunai at Temari. She blocks it with a technique called dust wind. As Sasuke kicks back behind a tree trunk the tree branches surrounding him are all dowsed in sand. Sasuke decides that he needs to finish this quickly and uses his Pheonix fire technique. Temari is pleased knowing that he’s wasting good chakra on her. She sky dives off her branch and dodges all of the fire. He then uses his blazing fireball jutsu on her. She blocks all of the flames with her fan and uses her sickling winds jutst. Sasuke jumps back but then trips on the sand covered branch from Temari’s previous attack. As he falls to the ground Temari jumps up and nails him with some kunai. He falls to the ground head first. As she walks towards the body, she realizes that he not only used the replacement jutsu but placed an explosive tag on the fake Sasuke. The explosion sends he flying back.

Summary : Kankuro vs Shino

This fight is great since it’s two characters who don;t get much time on screen as it is. The fight begins with Shino and Kankuro staring each other down. Kankuro then activates his puppet control jutsu and spins his wrapped up puppet, Karasu out. Shino makes his bugs come out from his arms and wrap around his arms. Kankuro is pretty disgusted seeing as how the bugs live within Shino. Kankuro sends Karasu flying towards Shino.

As Shino dodges, a blade extends from Karasu’s arm and dowses the branch Shino was standing on with poison. Kankuro tries to hit him again with another arm but Shino dodges and jumps into a nearby tree. A couple more dodged blows by Shino and he hides in a leaf filled area. Kankuro says “you’re not getting away!” and sends Karasu down towards Shino and extends several rib cage blades. Shino nails the puppet with a couple of kunai. To his surprise the puppet turns into a log. After realizing it was a replacement Shino quickly dodges the puppet’s blades which come from bellow him. Kankuro says “not good enough” and does a couple finger movements to make some kunai shoot out from Karasu’s mouth. The kunai nail Shino in the head and the chest. Kankuro thinks it’s over but then Shino’s bug replacement disperses into a million little bugs. Shino pops up right next to Kankuro and throws one hell of a punch. Unlucky for him, Kankuro dodges and compliments Shino’s exceptional ability. Shino then goes into explain that Kankuro is cleary a long range type fighter who uses the medium of a puppet, therefor close range combat is not his bag. Kankuro again compliments Shino and then sends a missile out from Karasu’s arm. Shino makes a shield out of bugs, but the missile disperses a cloud of poison around Shino. He gets a little fatigued since he inhaled a small amount of the gas and starts to breath heavy. Karasu floats up slowly and extends his poison blade. He nails Shino right through the stomach but it’s just another bug replacement. Kankuro then sees where Shino was hiding. He tries to get Karasu to move but for some reason he is stuck. Shino (gasping for air) says “it’s useless”. What Shino did was block up all the joints in Karasu with his bugs. The bugs then start to move allong Kankuro’s chakra strings (they devour chakra if you don’t know). Kankuro then cuts his chakra strings to throw off his location. Just then Karasu’s head pops off. Kankuro gloats at his ability to reatatch his chakra strings at will. Karasu’s head goes flying towards Shino. A HUGE needle comes out from its mouth. Just before it nails Shino, it stops. Shino looks in relief at the poison dripping down from the huge needle. Kankuro looks in disbelief and then gasps at the sight of Shinos bugs all over his hands. They had eaten off his chakra strings right before Karasu got Shino. Kankuro then falls out of his hiding place covered in bugs. Shino explains that when he missed his hit on Kankuro a few moments back, he meant to do it. What he did was place some female bugs on Kankuro. They have an odor to them that is easily found by the male bugs which Shino carries with him. Kankuro is now totally covered in bugs and falls from the tree he is in. Shino says sorry to Sasuke (in his head) and passes out from te poison. It’s a double knock out but clearly Shino won the fight.

Summary : Sasuke Naruto and Jiraya VS Itachi and Kisame

Itachi and Kisame tracked Naruto to a hotel where he was staying with Jiraiya at the time. Uninterested in provoking a Sannin, Itachi used a genjutsu on a pretty woman to draw Jiraiya away from Naruto. Taking the chance, Itachi and Kisame confronted Naruto, although, at the very same moment, Sasuke arrived to seek vengeance on his brother. Itachi handled his brother with ease while Kisame and Naruto watched, although Jiraiya arrived in time to save the two boys, having not fallen for the hypnotized woman’s charm as he knew that pretty women did not usually show interest in him.

Jiraiya immediately asked Itachi and Kisame if their real goal was kidnapping Naruto. They confirmed this and Itachi understood that Jiraiya was the one who had told Kakashi about Akatsuki. Although Jiraiya wished to fight them himself and prevent others from getting hurt, he honoured Sasuke’s feelings, and allowed him to fight Itachi instead. Itachi, however, only proved Jiraiya wrong in letting Sasuke fight by using his Mangekyo Sharingan on his younger brother, thus reaffirming his need to get stronger. Jiraiya saved Sasuke in time by using the Summoning: Toad Mouth Bind, which transformed the entire hotel hallway into a toad’s ?sophagus to trap Itachi and Kisame. Despite Jiraiya’s claim that no-one had escaped this technique before, the two Akatsuki partners managed to evade capture and death using Itachi’s Amaterasu, which left him exhausted.

Summary : Asuma Kurenai VS Kisame and Kakashi VS Itachi

At Kakashi’s request, Asuma and Kurenai pursue the mysterious pair and catch up with them next to a large recreational pond. The pair is revealed to be Sasuke’s traitorous brother Uchiha Itachi and the Hidden Mist missing-nin Hoshigake Kisame. Asuma and Kurenai inform the two S-class wanted criminals that they will not be allowed to leave. Kisame is eager for a fight, and Itachi decides that conflict is inevitable.

Kisame attacks with a massive downward slash of his giant cloth-wrapped sword, but Asuma takes out his two tekko (brass knuckles) with blades attached and blocks the sword. As the two are held at a deadlock, Kurenai steps back and uses a genjutsu to make herself disappear in a swirling motion. Itachi watches her closely, but after flaring his Sharingan once, he does nothing.

Meanwhile, Asuma finds himself being overpowered by the tip of Kisame’s sword, which indicates that Kisame must be extremely strong. The Akatsuki ninja forces the sword down until the flat of the wrapped blade rests against Asuma’s left arm, then suddenly pulls his sword back, tearing a large wound in the Konoha jounin’s arm. As part of the cloth wrapping falls away to reveal that the giant sword is covered in spikes, Kisame proclaims that his sword, Samehada, is designed to shave an opponent rather than cut.

Suddenly, Kisame find his leges being grabbed by the roots of a tree. The tree grows out of the ground behind Itachi wrapping its branches about him to hold his arms to his sides. Kunai at the ready, Kurenai appears leaning out of the tree above Itachi’s head. “This is it!” she proclaims as she stabs downward. Itachi makes no move to try to escape, but merely smiles.

Suddenly Kurenai is held in the tree’s clutches and Itachi is free. Kurenai realizes that when Itachi had flared his Sharingan while she was still preparing her genjutsu, he had exercised his greater genjutsu abilities to prepare a genjutsu reversal counter. The tables turned, Itachi draws a kunai to finish off Kurenai.

However, Kurenai steels herself and bites her own tongue, the pain freeing her of the genjutsu. She manages to duck Itachi’s blade just in time, but cannot dodge his kick, which sends her flying into the pond. Kurenai lands on top of the water relatively unharmed and ready to fight back, but finds Itachi has already moved behind her.

Meanwhile, Kisame continues to slash at Asuma with his sword, who has resorted to evasion rather than blocking. Asuma spies an opening and slashes at Kisame’s face, but Kisame easily dodges. Or so he thinks, until a gash appear on his cheek. Asuma grins as his tekko glow with cutting chakra that extends past the end of the physical blades. Annoyed, Kisame quickly forms the seals for Suiton Suikodan no Jutsu (Water Shark Missile Technique), sending a column of water out of the pond and flying at Asuma.

To his surprise, Kisame finds his jutsu countered by another Suikodan. As the water disperses, Kakashi is shown standing in front of Asuma, having shielded him by copying Kisame’s jutsu. A kage bunshin of Kakashi’s stands behind Itachi with a kunai at the Uchiha’s neck.

After some banter, Kisame is eager to attack the newcomer, but Itachi calls him off to face Kakashi instead. The Kakashi in front of Asuma is proven to be the kage bunshin as it disperses; the real Kakashi stands on the pond ready to fight Itachi. Itachi starts by drawing four shuriken in his right hand, but Kakashi suddenly jumps back, forming the seals for Ninpo Suiton Sujinheki (Water Barrier). A thick wall of water rises up around Kakashi, blocking several tendrils of water that had burst out of the pond towards Kakashi’s legs. Apparently, Itachi had drawn the shuriken in his right hand as a diversion while he formed the seals for the suiton jutsu with his left.

However, Kakashi’s success is short lived as a kage bunshin of Itachi’s appears behind him and stabs him in the back immediately after the Sujinheki disperses. Kurenai expresses amazement at the lightning-quick speed that Itachi can fire off his jutsus. But, to everyone’s surprise, Kakashi turns to water and disperses; Itachi had only succeeded in dispelling a misu bunshin (Water Clone) that Kakashi had created while hidden by the wall of water.

Kurenai reaches down into the water and takes a kunai from the real Kakashi, who had dove underwater during the confusion. Kurenai prepares to help Kakashi, but the copy ninja tackles her under the water, shouting that the Itachi whom he had been fighting all along was actually the kage bunshin; Itachi’s real body had hidden until it stabbed Kakashi’s misu bunshin. Itachi’s kage bunshin explodes, hiding Kakashi and Kurenai under the spray of water. Asuma jumps in to help them.

As the water disperses, the two teams line up on the pond, facing each other. Itachi closes his eyes, saying that he will show the Konoha ninja why the Uchiha clan was feared and reputed to be unmatched. He then slowly opens his eyes, and Kakashi realizes that Itachi is about to use his Mangekyo Sharingan (Kaleidoscope Wheel Eye). The copy ninja quickly closes his normal eye and tells Asuma and Kurenai to keep their eyes closed; looking into Itachi’s eyes could end it all. Itachi admits that Kakashi might be able to resist a little with his Sharingan, but states only one of the same Uchiha bloodline can truly resist it.

Suddenly, Kakashi finds himself in a strangely colored world, himself tied to a stake and two Itachis standing in front of him. Itachi explains that Kakashi is caught with his Mangekyo Sharingan jutsu, Tsukiyomi (Goddess of the Moon). In the world of Tsukiyomi, Itachi controls space, time, and the mass of objects, able to create any situation he can imagine for the next 72 hours. Itachi uses the time to painstakingly stab the helpless Kakashi with katanas over, and over, and over again.

72 hours later, Kakashi collapses back in the real world. Asuma and Kurenai worredly ask Kakashi what has happened, for he suddenly fell down after he stopped talking. On his knees and gasping for breath, Kakashi realizes that three days in the illusionary world of Tsukiyomi only lasts a second in the real world.

Itachi decides to take the weakened Kakashi hostage, and orders Kisame to kill the other two, who still have their eyes closed. Kisame charges forwards to dispatch them, but is thrown back as Gai appears, attacking with Konoha Dai Senpuu (Great Leaf Spinning Wind), a variation of the usual Konoha Senpuu spinning kick that strikes with the knee instead of the foot.

Asuma warns Gai about looking into Itachi’s eyes, but Gai explains that from fighting Kakashi many times, he has learned that to fight a Sharingan user. All they have to do is avoid looking into the Itachi’s eyes by watching his feet while they fight. Exhausted, Kakashi loses consciousness and sinks into the water, but Gai walks over and lifts him up. The Taijutsu user tells Kurenai to take Kakashi to a medical squad, while he and Asuma fight the Akatsuki members until the ANBU reinforcements he arranged for arrive.

However, Itachi states that they did not come to start a war, and that it is time to leave. Itachi and Kisame jump away, and the Konoha Jounin watch them go, lacking the forces to stop them without risking unnecessary losses.

Summary : Choji VS Jirobou

Chouji decided to fight Jirobou all by himself and he told Naruto-tachi to go on. Jiroubou charges forward to stop them, but Chouji pops a glass case with three pills in it, and takes the first one (in the manga, these pills appear grey, white, and black, but they described as blue, yellow, and red). Jirobou wonders what these large tri-colored pills are, and Chouji eats the blue pill, which he calls “houren-gan”. Suddenly, he is able to leap up and stop the enormous Jiroubou in mid-charge. But these pills have horrible side effects . . . And Chouji’s beginning to feel that side effect as he pushed Jiroubo away. Chouji the did the Multisize no Jutsu and he became a . . . giant.

As he rolls toward Jiroubou, the latter performs a seal, Doruku Gaeshi, which makes a wall of earth leap up in front of him as protection. But Chouji’s attack rolls right through the protection, knives cutting into his enemy as he crushes him. But now, Jiroubou’s cuneiform curse seal snakes across him, and he thrusts the boy away with his new strength, using “houshou”, the crushing fist. Chouji’s thrown down. Jiroubou taunts him, saying that he must be the loser to have been left behind as a pawn. Chouji says that the same thing is true of Jirobou. But the insult hits close to home-Asuma’s scolding and Ino’s insults, Naruto and Kiba’s dismissal of his worth to the mission, and his own sense of inferiority. Jiroubou, seeing his discomfiture, presses the psychological advantage, calling Chouji “trash”. But then Chouji remembers someone else’s opinion: Shikamaru, with his respect for Chouji, even his statement that he believed Chouji could beat him in a fight; and his choice of Chouji for this important mission. He opens the case of the yellow pill, and armed with Shikamaru’s faith in him, takes the pill. He chooses to see that Shikamaru left him not because of weakness, but because Shikamaru trusted him to take care of Jiroubou on his own. He uses the Multisize no jutsu on his arm and he . . . uhh, pinned Jiroubo^^;; But apparently, Jiroubo manages to throw Chouji off. But chouji manages no perform the MEGA MULTISIZE NO JUTSU and he crushed Jiroubo under him. Little does he know, that Jiroubo has activated his 2nd seal. And Jiroubo manages to lift Chouji with one arm. Chouji looks down in horror: Jiroubou is too strong for even his megi-multi-size technique. Jiroubou strikes his belly with Shou-Geki-Shou, an upward palm strike, and his gargantuan bulk flies up and crashes into the forest. At last, Jiroubou’s level 2 form is revealed; dark skin, with lumps on his shoulders, forehead, and back, like a horned toad’s. As Jirobou basks in his power-complaining of the strain it takes on his chakra-Chouji feels the strain of the yellow “curry” pill’s power. Suddenly, the pain is so great that he can’t move. He collapses. He is sure that the only remaining pill, the red “pepper” pill, would kill him if he uses it. But Jiroubou is preparing to attack! As Jiroubo prepares to hit Chouji, Chouji concentrated his chakra to his hand and drove his fist into Jiroubo. Crying out that it was inforgivable for Jiroubou to mock his friend, Chouji strikes him. Rocks rise, and chakra flares-and the curse seal slowly recedes from Jiroubou’s face, leaving him unconscious, perhaps dead. Chouji breathes a few times-then falls to his back, gasping for breath; he has actually won.

Chouji pulls himself up, still breathing heavily, and slowly moves into the forest where his friends have gone. One hand on his chest, the other braced on a tree, he turns, shocked at what he sees-and remembers his father’s kind words: that because of his kind heart, he would someday find a true friend. As he thinks of his father, a tear runs down his nose, falling past the emblem of the Akimichi Clan on his shirt, and to the ground. He has come to the tree with the carved-in arrow that Shikamaru left for him. Chouji slumped against the tree, and there he lies motionless . ..

Summary : Neji VS Kidomaru

The Sound Four escorted Sasuke Uchiha when he decided to join sides with Orochimaru. After Team Shikamaru caught up with the Sound Four, Kidomaru allowed the rest of his group to go ahead of him while he caught and toyed with their pursuers. Neji is able to free everyone from Kidomaru’s webbing using his Gentle Fist and engaged Kidomaru in battle. He fought Neji using his spider techniques which, even with Neji’s Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, were difficult to defeat. He revealed a golden armor that was made from liquid secreted from his sweat glands that protected him from powerful attacks to prevent Neji from closing his chakra points. He used the same element of spider silk to make an arrow and discovered the Byakugan’s blind spot. Although he was able to hit Neji, Neji used the arrow to close all of Kidomaru‘s chakra points by transferring chakra through the web, eventually killing him. Prior to his demise, Kidomaru claimed that Sasuke has chosen the path of revenge, and it was useless for the retrieval team to try, and that Neji was the second person to force him to fight at full strength, the first being Kimimaro.

Summary : Sasuke VS Naruto, Sakura, Sai, and Yamato

Sai entered his room while he was resting, he told Sasuke that he wanted to repair his and Naruto‘s bond together. Sasuke then blew up the room, angered that he had been woken up to hear about bonds, his action drawing Naruto and Sakura to their location. Despite this being the first time in three years that they had seen each other, Sasuke expressed his usual indifference towards his former team.[16] Uninterested in going home with them, Sasuke engaged them in battle, showing off his increase in speed and improved abilities.

They were little match for him, mostly due to the team’s exhaustion with Naruto’s four-tailed form, causing Naruto to begin struggling with the Nine-Tails’ chakra. Sasuke used his Sharingan to enter Naruto’s mind to meet the Nine-Tails itself, finally discovering the source of Naruto’s strength, and managing to suppress its influence. Before releasing Naruto, the Nine-Tails warned Sasuke to not kill Naruto, or he would live to regret it forever. Back outside, Sasuke decided to finish off his former team-mates, only to be stopped by Orochimaru. Listening to Orochimaru’s plan to use them to thin Akatsuki’s numbers, he left with Orochimaru and Kabuto.

Summary : Naruto, Rock Lee and Gaara VS Kimimaro

Kimimaro recognize Gaara and he wastes no time. He throws finger bullets at Gaara and Lee. Gaara manages to block it with his sand wall. Lee asks Gaara why he’s here, and Gaara says that he owes Konoha a lot. Gaara then traps Lee in a patch of sand in order for him to not interfere his battle with Kimimaro. Rock Lee shouts out a warning to Gaara that Kimimaro can throw his bones, grow them out of his body-control them in any way. Bones begin to sprout from all over Kimimaro’s torso, and Gaara’s sand emerges from its jug. Gaara’s sand attack comes swiftly, and Kimimaro arches his back high over the blow, avoiding it, and sending the finger bullets. Gaara stands, arms crossed, as the bullets come-simply waiting for the shield of sand to protect him just like it always did.

Kimimaro smirked and said that he, Gaara can probably only control as much as is in his jug, which is why he carries it; he will be powerless without sand. He declares Gaara’s “desert rain” (suna shigure) attack boring, but he’s taken by surprise when sand rises from the ground to grab his feet. Gaara replies, he may be unable to do anything without sand, but with sand, he can do anything. Gaara squeezes his fist, and the sand squeezes Kimimaro in the Desert Coffin, “Sabaku Sousou”. The noise of his bones cracking fills the meadow. But then, through the bloodstained sands, the bones of Kimimaro’s hand emerge, then his body, entirely encased in a white bone exoskeleton, blood trails mingling with the lines of the curse seal. The skin reforms over Kimimaro’s “bone mask” protection. Kimimaro regrets having taken Gaara too lightly and he swore never to be taken like that again. Gaara concentrates, preparing a Ryuusa Bakuryu-Desert Avalanche. The sand rises around him, then forms a huge wave to his right. It sweeps over Kimimaro, burying the meadow and surrounding forest in a desert. Lee raises a hand to Gaara, asking if Kimimaro has been defeated this time; Gaara again answers no, then performs Sabaku Taisou. The sand responds with an enormous rumbling, shaking the forest. A hand, and behind it a long spiked tail, are emerging from under the sand. The bone-spiked tail lashes out of the desert as Rock Lee looks on in consternation, wondering what Kimimaro has become. Gaara is ready, making the sands swirl around his opponent. He performs another Sabaku Sou Sou, but Kimimaro breaks free, outrunning the murderous sand; his arms are darkened by the 2nd level curse seal, and as he frees himself, his new form is revealed.

The dark lining of his eyes has extended across his face like a mask. Giant bones jut forward out of his shoulder blades, more from his ribs, cut so that the marrow shows. Sharp dinosaur-like vertebral spikes run down his back as well as the long thick tail he has sprouted. Gaara, still calm, erects a foot-thick wall of sand; but Kimimaro is more powerful than before. He breaks through the wall, and Gaara is thrown back several meters. Kimimaro pauses to taunt him, if this is indeed the extent of his famous defense; Gaara’s hackles rise. The sand armor of his face cracks and drops away, as if in response to Kimimaro’s taunt. But now Rock Lee takes advantage of the lull; reminding Kimimaro that he has two opponents, he approaches from behind, and lands a giant roundhouse kick to Kimimaro’s neck. The kick barely phases Kimimaro; before Rock Lee can put up a defense, his tail swings around to knock Lee away. Only a swift sand shield from Gaara saves Lee from the full impact of the blow. In the exchange, however, Rock Lee has noticed something; Kimimaro’s not as fast as he was. His body must still be adapting to the change. Kimimaro focuses his next attack on the more troublesome Gaara. He reaches back to the top dorsal vertebra, and slowly pulls out his entire spine, which he cracks like a whip. He begins Tessenka no Mai.

The first step is Tendril. Gaara’s sand-wall defense rises, but the spine, elastic, wraps around him, pinning him within his cushion of sand. Then comes Flower. Slowly at first, bones burst from around Kimimaro’s wrist, thickening and spiraling, until his hand is encased in a sharp conic bone as long as Kimimaro is tall, opening into an eerie flower over his shoulder. It almost resembles a young lily. Kimimaro tells Gaara that this is the thickest bone in his body, and that Gaara’s defenses will fall before it like the pathetic thing they are. But in the middle of his speech, Kimimaro coughs a bit of blood; the battle has exacted its strain. His death is coming for him swiftly now. Gaara has no time for speculation; he erects his final defense, Saikou Zettai Bougyo Shukaku no Tate. The tanuki-demon appears, formed out of sand, complete with hat and patterned clothing. Kimimaro’s spinal whip protrudes through its belly; it stands protective before Gaara, grimacing, as the bone-lily approaches. Kimimaro’s bone spear crashes into Gaara’s defense-and shatters. Gaara explains that this particular barrier is made of strong minerals from underground, specially selected and pressurized with chakra for density. Kimimaro discloses that his bloodline ability, that of the Kayuga clan, is now only his. Gaara coldly states that soon the clan will be entirely finished. Kimimaro’s willing to grant it, given his illness; but he maintains that he’s not alone. While he works to fulfill Orochimaru’s dream, he will be in his master’s heart. Gaara replies that Kimimaro is brainwashed; soulless. He has overused his incredible ability; he’s out of chakra. At Gaara’s command, the ground turns to quicksand, and Kimimaro slowly sinks down. Gaara tells him as he falls that he will descend 200 meters and be immobilized by the weight of the sand on top and around him. One more time, Rock Lee asks Gaara whether the fight is over. Gaara looks down in consternation; from within the sand, Kimimaro is beginning the final dance: Sawarabi no Mae, Dance of the Seedling Ferns. Huge bones suddenly rise from the ground all around them. The meadow has become a forest of dry bone trees. Above, Gaara and Rock Lee sit on floating sand cushions. Gaara is at last willing to proclaim the fight over; Kimimaro is dead. However, he is incorrect; Kimimaro’s torso, and the spear, sprout off of the bone-tree next to them. Furious Kimimaro yells at them and thrusts with the bone spear. Gaara has barely begun to raise the sand barrier when Kimimaro suddenly stops; blood drips to the sandy floor below them. Kimimaro’s body, is soldified into stone.
